Horne Scores 2nd Win In As Many Events In NHRA 2013 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series
TeamRAACE made a strong showing at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Event at Virginia Motorsports Park in Petersburg, Va., last weekend, April 12-13, 2013. Doug Horne made it two for two this year in the NHRA Harley Davidson Drag Racing Series taking the win in Top Fuel Harley following his win in Houston last month. Doug Horne, of Aberdeen, Md., clocked in at 6.253 at 220.76 mph to defeat Chris Streeter, Cleveland, Ohio, 6.286, 222.73.
DJ Cox competed in Top Alcohol Funny Car action, DJ Cox Jr., of Whiteford, Md., ran his 2009 Monte Carlo at a 6.988 second, 133.91 MPH pass to qualify 6th. DJ lost in the first round to eventual semifinalist John Anderika, of Wyoming, Pa., in his 2010 Monte Carlo, recording a 5.589 second run at 255.53mph to DJ’s “something broke” 15.818, 58.55. By working together as a community, we all can play a part in promoting children's emotional well-being and strengthening our families. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. It is a time to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect and encourage individuals and communities to support our children and families.
