Forest Hill, MD – It’s hard to believe, but the 10th Annual Maryland State BBQ Bash on Friday, August 12th and Saturday, August 13th is just a few short days2011_bbq_logo_large away, so join The RAACE Foundation at the Bel Air BBQ Bash as we “Educate Harford County.”

As part of the 10th Anniversary event The RAACE Foundation will have its giant “Time to Talk” Awareness Station and Game Wheel on the main causeway for kids of all ages to win The RAACE Foundation tee’s, hats and other cash & prizes. The RAACE Foundations “Time to Talk” display uses boardwalk/carnival style gaming as a way to slow people down, in order to talk about Child Sexual Abuse and distribute the new “Time to Talk Parents Guide to Protecting Your Child From Sexual Abuse.”

For the past 9 years the BBQ Bash has grown to be one of the largest, most fun, and most anticipated events of the year in Downtown Bel Air. The BBQ Bash is a barbecue themed street festival featuring the Maryland State BBQ Championship contest where over 50 competition teams from the Mid-Atlantic area and beyond will compete for $12,500 in cash prizes.

With the addition of The RAACE Foundation’s “Giant Wheel” everyone knows that ‘When The Wheel Spins Everyone Wins”. Great food, great music, great people, The RAACE Foundation and the Maryland State Barbecue Championship, have combined to create a tradition that we hope you will want to be a part of this year and in the years ahead.

This year, The RAACE Foundation will feature giveaways for the inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix. With the goals of Educating Harford County at The Bel Air BBQ Bash and over 150,000+ at The Baltimore Grand Prix RALLY for RAACE, The RAACE Foundation and those who support our Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere know that our race has no finish line.

Spin the wheel at the BBQ Bash and savor everything BBQ and celebrate with us in the Baltimore Grand Prix RALLY for RAACE Corral & Ride.  With 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 7 boys being sexually abused before 18 and with 39 million survivors, it is “Time to Talk” with The RAACE Foundation – so you see, Everyone Wins When The Wheel Spins!

Most importantly - Educate Harford County title sponsor Korey Homes along with wheel sponsors 84 Lumber, 84 Components, The Bel Air Downtown Alliance, Smith & Smith Excavating, Smyth Jewelers, Ground Loop, Northeastern Supply, Harford Rental, Long & Foster Real Estate Agents Kristin Natarajan & Denise Patrick, Clearwater Pool and Spa, MJL Realty, MetLife, The Donate Your Ride for RAACE Program, Maryland Concrete Foundations Inc., Christopher J Salon & Stylist Kristine Smith North, Real Estate Title & Escrow, Weikel Sportswear, tcby, Schmitz Press, Bel Air Carpet, Horne Concrete, Jarvis Appliance, M-N-M Custom Plumbing, Jones Junction, Chesapeake Harley-Davidson and The Forest Hill Airport Industrial Park all felt that distribution of The RAACE Foundations new “Time to Talk Parents Guide” was the tool to help you protect your child.
