Forest Hill, MD – It is with deep disappointment that The RAACE Foundation must announce that all of The RAACE Foundation’s events scheduled as part of The Baltimore Grand Prix RALLY for RAACE Motorcycle Corral & Ride on September 4th must be cancelled.
A chain of events starting with Baltimore City limiting track operating time forced Baltimore Grand Prix management to cancel all corral related on track activities for both cars and bikes. After some negotiations and rescheduling an announcement was made that the Grand Prix could reschedule The RALLY for RAACE Motorcycle Corral & Ride from the original date of Saturday, August 3rd to Sunday, August 4th if the ride would happen after the IZOD Indy Car Series event that Sunday. All agreed and preparations and registrations began again to move forward towards the new date.
Regrettably on Thursday, August 18th The Baltimore Grand Prix has once again run into scheduling conflicts that forced the final cancellation of the Baltimore Grand Prix RALLY for RAACE Motorcycle Corral & Ride Fundraiser.
The RAACE Foundation will still be operating its “Time to Talk” Awareness Station in the Grand Prix’s Family Fun Zone and its Kids Big Wheel Races in the Interactive Race Zone.
All riders that have pre-registered for The Baltimore Grand Prix RALLY for RAACE Motorcycle Corral & Ride will receive a refund. Checks will be available on Wednesday, August 24th and will be mailed on the 25th. Riders may also pick up their refund in person at The RAACE Foundations offices located at 217 E. Jarrettsville Rd., Suite One, Forest Hill, MD 21050 after 8 am on August 24th.
All riders and sponsors will be contacted by either The RAACE Foundation’s Founder Kenneth Smith or Executive Director Brad Brickel.
