"It's official - we're THE CHARITY of choice for WOMEN'S DAY at Reunion Bash!"
Thanks to the generosity of the House of Harley Women's Committee, The RAACE Foundation will be named the Women's Day official charity during the House of Harley's Reunion Bash Women's Day.
The Reunion Bash, 6 day event that rides beside the 105th Harley-Davidson Ride Home from August 27-September 1, in the area surrounding the House of Harley, one of the world's largest Harley-Davidson dealerships. Activities at this city wide celebration include Harley-Davidson museum tours, daily street parties, demo rides, bike shows, seminars and concerts by artists such as ZZ Top, Los Lonely Boys, Gary Allen, Dierks Bentley, Puddle of Mudd, the Foo Fighters and Blind Melon. The entire Milwaukee celebration is expected to be even bigger than the 100th Anniversary Celebration which drew over 200,000 riders from around the world.
Each day of the Reunion Bash has its own theme and charity. August 29 is Women's Day where proceeds from various activities will be donated to The RAACE Foundation. Friday will feature seminars aimed at female riders by Genevieve Schmitt, an Emmy nominated >television producer and award winning magazine editor, morning and afternoon seminars by Sara Liberte and Jody Perewitz (the Garage Girls), as well as a host of other events including the Chopper Chick Crew completing a live bike build sponsored by Shell, a "For Ladies Only Bike Show", and huge Women's Day Ride that's expecting 300 motorcyclists to assemble a purple parade for the Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere.
That day The RAACE Foundation will have a booth set up outside The House of Harley near the Vagabond Chopper Company tent, which is owned by Athena "Chickie" Ransom, one of the Chopper Chick Crew members. The Chopper Chick Crew is a group of women who build charity bikes, using donated parts, in live bike builds at events benefiting the charity to which the bike will be donated.
Doug Horne's Nitro Pro Fuel bike, which has been seen tearing up the AHDRA dragways, will be present at the event. Throughout the day various groups will be at the tent to sign autographs including the RDT Extreme stunt team. Visitors to the tent will also be able to pick up free RAACE posters, stickers and awareness materials as well as talk to RAACE Foundation representatives.
