So, what do you do after the 4th of July holiday - when the fireworks are all spent and the BBq's have cooled off? If you're the Lehigh Valley Grand Prix you continue America's birthday celebration with a Motorsports Show that will blow you away! On July 10th-12th join this years sponsored charity The RAACE Foundation for a three day Motorganza of Child Abuse Awareness & Prevention activities, vendors, food, car clubs, street and racing vehicles as well as many other exciting family fun games and entertainment including the regions fastest indoor go-kart racing. Match that up with the east coasts premiere indoor racing venue The Lehigh Valley Grand Prix and you have Race Dayz!! What is more American than Motorsports, Saving the Children and Racing?
Car clubs, Dealerships, Race Tracks, Motorsports Teams and Racing Clubs are all welcome. If it can be raced or driven, from batteries to methanol - wed like to see it out here that weekend! Saturday is geared towards Race Cars and Racing Vehicles with specials available for clubs, teams, vendors or tracks that bring five or more vehicles. Sunday is devoted to Car Clubs and Street Vehicles. Each vehicle is $20 to participate. Each vehicle gets a free Race Pass to LVGP, t-shirt for the event and $5 from every entry fee goes to The RAACE Foundation to help in their efforts to stop Child Sexual Abuse. That is a value of $40 invaluable if you look at helping us save the children. Spaces are limited so please register soon! Sadly, child sexual abuse is often referred to as a silent epidemic. The RAACE Foundation is dedicated to changing that, because The First Step to Prevention is Awareness. The RAACE Foundation (Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere) hopes to lessen the social stigma surrounding Child Sexual Abuse through awareness campaigns and the distribution of educational materials.
What a great way to get your business involved too! Vendors are you looking for exposure to Race fans and adventure seekers? There is time to sign up. The Lehigh Valley Grand Prix is located in one of the valleys largest and most historical buildings The Mack Fire Truck Plant on S. 10th Street. This is not a typical show; there will be no awards or judging. There will however be celebrity races and trophies for on track performance and well over 1,000 car crazies to check out your sweet ride!
There will also be dollar saving Racing Specials throughout the weekend. Times of the event are: Friday 11am-5pm, Saturday 10am-11pm, Sunday 10am-6pm. This is a great weekend to celebrate Americas birthday and learn how to protect our families and children from abuse with Americas favorite pastime .Racing!! Sadly, Child Sexual Abuse is of epidemic proportions. It was announced recently that 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 7 boys are sexually abused before the age of 18, while only 1 in 10 victims tells of their abuse. There are over 39 million survivors in the United States today. Yet the subject of child sexual abuse remains taboo and therefore thrives in the shadows of society. That is why The Lehigh Valley Grand Prix got involved. The RAACE Foundation a 501(c)3 organization was created in response to the knowledge that child sexual abuse is tragically destructive, all too common, and totally preventable.
Yet the roar of the engines, the speed of the racers, and the cheers of the fans cant eliminate the pain of a child suffering from abuse. But with the help of racers, car nuts, fans, and organizations like The Lehigh Valley Grand Prix, The RAACE Foundation can educate adults so no other child has to suffer the same silent fate. The RAACE Foundation and those who support their goal to Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere know that until every child is safe from abuse our RAACE has no finish line.
