The RAACE Foundation's mission is simple: fighting the epidemic of child sexual abuse by raising public awareness. Our goal, by bringing to light the prevalence of child sexual abuse is to lessen the social stigma associated with addressing this troubling and destructive social issue.
The RAACE Foundation needed a way to communicate its mission and was founded on a unique, visual way to alert the public about the prevalence of this horrible epidemic. From the time we went to the track with Stevie Smith and Smith Racing - our first “Purple & Yellow” Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere branded team, we knew that we had found our “vehicle” for ending the silence associated with this terrible epidemic!

Armed with this knowledge, The RAACE Foundation set out to present a way where everyone in motorsports could make a difference in creating awareness about child sexual abuse. After a few years more teams stepped up to wear the colors, run stickers and join the fight against child sexual abuse. They became known collectively as TeamRAACE. But soon, others began to ask: What could they do - in their communities. We had already developed a team style atmosphere in motorsports so recently as an organization; we asked ourselves some very hard and introspective questions. Simply stated, over the past few months we have re-evaluated our plan.

It became very clear in these meetings that not only the world of motorsports could broadcast this message of change; but our mission and vision is even bigger than the entire world of sports! Everyone has an interest or activity that they love, live and enjoy. So, everyone – motorsports, team sports, individual athletes; even individuals, professionals, businesses, ministries and organizations have the opportunity to educate and provide the tools to help The RAACE Foundation in its mission of child sexual abuse awareness.
In a team-based environment, everyone contributes to the overall success of the team. Belonging to TeamRAACE in the broadest sense then gives everyone the ability to prevent child sexual abuse through awareness (displaying The RAACE Foundation colors and TeamRAACE logo's) and education (distributing child sexual abuse awareness based posters, hero cards, brochures and stickers) in their community.

The RAACE Foundation has developed a strong, local presence in the world of motorsports with the participation of TeamRAACE and our “Family” of drivers. This idea has and will continue to work because The RAACE Foundation's message is in the background of a sport, program, business, event or activity that you love.
By joining TeamRAACE as a member and “Running the TeamRAACE logo” or “Running the Colors” as part of our “Family” TeamRAACE members gain access to an exclusive program where they get cause marketing opportunities, cool gear, members only discounts, national reporting about their activities, and the recognition for supporting our vision of a world free of child sexual abuse. But most importantly your activities give The RAACE Foundation the opportunities necessary to support the financial needs of continuing our awareness and education program while creating the events and activities which educate families so no child has to suffer the same silent fate.
As a 501c3 Organization, The RAACE Foundation has never sponsored any drivers or race teams. Moving forward, TeamRAACE members - individuals, athletes, businesses, ministries, organizations, professionals, and teams will continue to represent The RAACE Foundation on a voluntary basis at their own expense with the permission and guidance of The RAACE Foundation.

TeamRAACE is about functioning as The RAACE Foundation's awareness messenger. Even though our TeamRAACE members come from the game room to the board room, they are unified by the common goal of child sexual abuse awareness. This unification is paramount to the overall success of any team including TeamRAACE.
The success of The RAACE Foundation then is not based solely on the respective accomplishments of TeamRAACE members or the TeamRAACE “Families” that change their programs to include the purple and yellow of The RAACE Foundation, but more on their effective dissemination of child sexual abuse awareness. Success on both levels magnifies this visibility.

TeamRAACE provides the opportunities needed to explain the nature of the problem. An open door to communication is this first step. Because your interests and activities have the power to expose the hidden epidemic of child sexual abuse, The RAACE Foundation can educate adults so no child has to suffer the same silent fate.
