READING, PA - When the 25th annual Racing Legends Reunion & Car Show presented by Reading Eagle and WEEU 830 AM closed last Saturday evening February 27th, the RAACE Foundation and its TeamRAACE Family of drivers were satisfied with a job well done. Not only did three different TeamRAACE drivers win awards for best appearing race cars in their respective categories, but many racers and fans in attendance joined TeamRAACE.

The #1 goal of TeamRAACE is to spread awareness about the terrible epidemic of child sexual abuse. The only way to protect children from the horrors of sexual abuse is awareness. The #2 goal is to get other members to join the TeamRAACE Membership program. TeamRAACE is your opportunity to make a difference in preventing child sexual abuse in your community!

TeamRAACE also provides the opportunities needed to explain the nature of the problem. An open door to communication is this first step and the opportunities presented at The Reading Racing Reunion were priceless. As a TeamRAACE member, your interests and activities in motorsports, business, any other sport, hobby, profession or organization provide the power to expose the hidden epidemic of child sexual abuse. Because of this involvement The RAACE Foundation can educate adults so no child has to suffer the same silent fate.

The RAACE Foundation had an impressive 10-car display for the weeklong event, held Feb. 21-27 at the Fairgrounds Square Mall on 5th Street Highway in Reading. Among the RAACE Foundation race cars on display, Dakota Kohler and his RAACE Foundation Go-Kart, Dave Shirk and his RAACE Foundation ARDC Midget, and Greg Hoffmaster's TeamRAACE 358 Late Model won best appearing car awards at the popular BASH Racing Party presented by Beer City of Quakertown and Lee Myles Transmissions, Friday night, Feb. 26 at the Temple Fire Company - just blocks from the Fairgrounds Square Mall.

TeamRAACE was well represented both inside The RAACE Foundation display and throughout the malls many race track, vendor and sanctioning body display's. Kyle Weiss's 358-Modified, Daryl Dissinger's Sportsman Modified, Ryan Suchon's XCel 600 Modified, Brian and Ashley Therien's Jr. Dragsters, Lauryn and Laurysa Seigried's Quarter Midgets, Trevor Kobylarz's ARDC Midget, Craig Whitmoyer's Modified, Anthony Schlosser-White's Slingshot Modified, and Jay Batdorf's Micro Sprint were all big hits with fans and mall patrons both young and old.

The mall show and racing reunion season begins to wind down as Mother Nature starts to wipe her eyes from a long winters nap. As soon as the snow melts throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region the 2010 racing season will begin in earnest. Make sure to visit www.raace.org to learn about all of The RAACE Foundation's 2010 events and to see where your favorite TeamRAACE driver is racing next. Remember – join TeamRAACE, get the gear and spread the word. The RAACE Foundation and TeamRAACE would like to thank Brett Deyo for a great job running the event and for joining in The Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere. Brett and the rest of TeamRAACE know that until every child is safe, our RAACE has no finish line.
