Mark your calendars: Poker Run Saturday, April 3rd!
TeamRAACE Business event Saturday, April 3rd! Join 105.7 The Fan's Ed Norris for the
2nd Annual Motorcycle Poker Run and Chili Cook-off at Laurel Park sponsored by: Geico Powersports and The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille in Columbia, MD.

The 2nd Annual Ed Norris Motorcycle Poker Run begins at Pete's Cycle, 7511 Bel Air Road, Baltimore, MD 21236, at 8am with a stop at The Greene Turtle in Columbia and ending at Laurel Park, Route 198 and Racetrack Road in Laurel Park, MD! Participants in the Poker Run will be competing for Great Prizes and helping two worthy charities. A $25 registration fee guarantees the first 200 riders a t-shirt, poker run tally sheet, admission to Laurel Park that day, a daily racing program and a $5 lunch voucher!

$10 of the admission will be split equally between two 501(c)3 non-profit organizations - CANTER Mid Atlantic and The RAACE Foundation. CANTER stands for The Communication Alliance to Network Thoroughbred Ex-Racehorses. CANTER started as a solution to help racehorses find new careers by connecting buyers and sellers through posting racehorses for sale on the Internet. They assist owners and trainers in finding second careers for their thoroughbreds when they are no longer racing.

The RAACE Foundation, Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere, a Forest Hill, MD based non-profit organization is dedicated to eliminating the epidemic of child sexual abuse by raising public awareness. “When Kim Piet of CBS Radio's 105.7 The Fan approached us regarding Ed Norris joining TeamRAACE and supporting our awareness efforts through inclusion in their awesome Poker Run and Chili Cook-off event, we couldn't believe it! This is a home run type of event, with lot's of “horsepower”! Who doesn't like a cruise on their bike, some killer live music, a day at the races and some tasty chili? The RAACE Foundation is honored to be part of a great team like 105.7 The Fan. Ed Norris and everyone at CBS Radio in Baltimore do such a great job supporting their community. From our first conversation with them we could tell how important the listeners and their families are to everyone at 105.7 The Fan”, said The RAACE Foundation's Founder, Kenneth Smith.

After the Poker Run you'll get to experience eating at one of the best things to ever come out of Texas - The Chili Cook-off! As a featured district event for the ICS – International Chili Society, the winners of the Chili, Chili Verde, and Salsa categories all advance to the Last Chance 2010 competition. There is over $1,500 in cash prizes up for grabs, so if you think your Chili, Chili Verde or Salsa has what it takes to win at an official competition, there are rules and regulations for cooks at the World's Championship, State, Regional and District Cook-off's. For more information contact the ICS at www.chilicookoff.com and don't forget to bring your spoon!

As if the day couldn't get any better, there will be live music from Maynard's band THE MOBTOWN SAINTS and everyone is encouraged to enjoy live thoroughbred horse racing all day as Laurel Park opens at 11 am!
