Vickie Brooks joined The RAACE Foundation in 2006 when she and Board Member Rob Lesniewski developed the concept Rally for RAACE. Vickie says, “The RAACE Foundation’s work is so important because the more we talk with our friends, families, and neighbors about child sexual abuse, the better prepared we are as adults to protect our children from harm.”
One of her favorite quotes is by former Secretary General Kofi Annan, ‘There is no trust more sacred than the one the world holds with children. There is no duty more important than ensuring that their rights are respected, that their welfare is protected, that their lives are free from fear and want and that they can grow up in peace.’ Vickie notes, “Being blessed with a teenage son I believe we are each responsible to protect that ‘sacred trust’”.
Vickie is duties include forming and maintaining charitable partnerships, managing legal issues, insurances, contract management, and The RAACE Foundation’s 501(c)(3) federal and state standings. She also works hand-in-hand with The RAACE Foundation’s volunteer base during fundraising events.
