RAACE Foundation Friend Joe Pratt passed away late Sunday
Joe Pratt, a long time friend of The RAACE Foundation passed away late Sunday evening after a long battle with illness.
Joe was the Advertising Director of Area Auto Racing News. He was also the manager of the Len Sammons Motorsports Race Car and Trade Show.
He was a great supporter of The RAACE Foundation as well. Joe helped get RAACE involved in the Motorsports Show. He helped find RAACE Foundation Family of Drivers member Stevie Smith a M&R Midget car to race in the Atlantic City Indoor Race.
"Joe and I were friends long before I got involved with The RAACE Foundation. When we started, Joe was the first person to ask what he could do to help; he was such a champion of what we were doing. He introduced me to the racers and the major players in the racing community in our area. Joe had the connections to help and he certainly advanced the organization. He is really going to be missed," shares Brad Brickel, Director of Development.
Joe didn't just make friends with The RAACE Foundation though. He also had a presence and many friends throughout the motorsports community. Those who knew him, and it seemed everyone in the motorsports arena did, knew that Joe was a great guy, the kind of man who would do anything to help out.
