RAACE night at Big Diamond Raceway was cancelled again!
Minersville, PA - For the second time in as many tries, The RAACE Foundation night at Big Diamond Raceway was cancelled due to rain. The first shower hit around 3:30 in the afternoon, slowing down around 5 pm just when the gates opened, another quick one hit around 6 pm, but just as the mighty 410 sprint cars of The All-Star Circuit of Champions and The famed PA Posse took to the track for heat in the engines, the skies opened up.

After waiting it out for about twenty minutes it became painfully apparent that they had lost the track and would not be able to continue. Very unfortunate too, as a great crowd of fans where on hand soaking up everything sprint car racing including the TeamRAACE 600 micro-sprint of JR Schott, Jr. While JR was letting kids sit in a real race car and dreaming of becoming the next Tony Stewart or Kasey Kahne, TeamRAACE driver Stevie Smith was signing autographed TeamRAACE posters and gear - all was right in the world of a dirt track fan till mother nature posted another score to make it 2 - 0 vs. TeamRAACE & The All-Star Circuit of Champions. The RAACE Foundation also lost an EZ Up tent in the wind storm preceding the storm and sure could use some help getting another one. Contact us at 1-800-755-kids to make an in-kind donation of another tent.

No make-up date has been announced as of press time, but make sure to log onto www.bigdiamondraceway.com or The All-Star Circuit of Champions on the web at www.allstarsprint.com for any info regarding a make-up date. Ticket prices were refunded or guests could use their tickets for The All-Star Circuit of Champions Late Model show later in the summer.

That's The RAACE Foundation founder Kenneth Smith with TeamRAACE driver JR Schott, Jr. and his father Jerry Schott before the rain came down. We look forward to seeing you at the races and as always log onto www.raace.org to follow JR and the rest of TeamRAACE. Remember RAACEShop.org - get the gear and spread the word! Until every child is safe from abuse, our RAACE has no finish line!
