A track adjacent to the Legends of the Fog attraction will be prepared to provide these professional racers a location to thrill local spectators, while The RAACE Foundation will be on hand to “Educate Harford County” about the realities of child sexual abuse. Other event sponsors will be on hand with displays as well. Racing action will start at 1:00 each day.

Spectator admission is only $5.00 per person- children under six are free with a paying adult and the best part is that all of the proceeds from the ARMA National Finals will serve as a fundraiser for The RAACE Foundation. The RAACE Foundation (Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere is a Harford County, MD based 501(c)3 charity founded to help end childhood abuse. Join The Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere!

ARMA, founded in 2005 by a group of racers from the Mid-Atlantic region with the mission to bring various independent lawn mower racing groups together to provide them with a national level racing series and organization.  Many of the members of these independent groups had not been able to race with other national organizations due to differences in rules and racing philosophies. ARMA has brought about changes on both of these fronts and now racers across the nation are able to participate in this affordable, family friendly sport.

ARMA is the fastest growing sanctioning body for the sport of lawn mower racing today. The organization is comprised of local chapters throughout the United States and Canada. Each chapter covers either a state or geographic region. These chapters and their members hold hundreds of races a year, many in support of local and national charities.

For those attending the National Finals weekend here are few guidelines governing the nine classes of racing ARMA offers with speeds from mild to wild. The classes are divided based upon the amount of modification and engine size. The most minimally modified is the Super Stock class. While some changes are permitted, mowers must maintain an 8 to 1 gear ratio. Mowers built in a similar manner are raced by pre-teen through 15 year olds in the Junior Prepared class. The Mini-Sportsman class mowers were built from original 8.5 horsepower and under engine blocks. Sportsman class mowers use valve in block motors originally built at 8.5 horsepower and over. The Mod-X class is our newest class, built from either a single overhead valve or twin opposed valve in block motor that started as a 20 horsepower and under engine. Super Sportsman mowers started with 25 horsepower and under motors, while the Pro-X class uses a variety of single cylinder four stroke lawn mower engines with unlimited horsepower ratings and speeds at over 85 miles per hour! In 2010 two new classes - Super Mod Single and Super Mod Twin were added. These more modified builds allowed our racers to adapt the engine and chassis further than other classes permitted in true “Outlaw” fashion.

Race fans young and old are invited to come out to Legend's of the Fog to be thrilled and amazed as drivers from throughout the United States compete to become national champions and at the same time help The RAACE Foundation and The American Racing Mower Association Educate Harford County!
