The Formula Race Car Club of America has announced that TeamRAACE driver CJ Rachuba wound up winning the FRCCA Formula Tyro RAACE Championship for 2011. CJ Rachuba of Eldersburg, Maryland used solid finishes at the final two-race FRCCA weekend at Shenandoah Raceway - Saturday & Sunday, October 15th & 16th and has captured the 2011 Formula Tyrro RAACE Championship.
The Tyro division RAACE Championship point’s battle was down to two drivers, CJ Rachuba in his The RAACE Foundation Formula Banshee #7 and Glenn Wakefield with his Van Diemen #78. On Saturday CJ took second place points and on Sunday CJ took the win to seal his first FRRCA Formula Tyrro RAACE Championship.
This championship is named after the charity, the Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere (RAACE) foundation, and is awarded to the driver earning the highest number of points during the race season. CJ and his Formula Banshee #7 were very fast all season. The formal award ceremony will take place in early 2012.
The entire list of FRRCA RAACE Championship Series winners will be announced shortly. The RAACE Foundation would like to thank CJ Rachuba and The FRRCA for making a huge difference in the Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere as well as congratulations on a successful 2011 season.
