Forest Hill, MD – When Tim Henry approached The RAACE Foundation at Motorsports 2011 to learn more about TeamRAACE, he had no idea how important TeamRAACE is to opening the door to communication. After speaking with other team members and The RAACE Foundation staff, it became clear to Tim that he could help – in a big way. Simply by putting The RAACE Foundation stickers on his race car he could actually prompt others to learn more about preventing this terrible epidemic of child sexual abuse.
The next step was to speak with car owners Greg and Don Burd of B&B Racing about joining TeamRAACE. The response was unanimous – all in!!! And so, the season started for Tim Henry and his #94T The RAACE Foundation Legends Car. A couple of top five finishes and a win at Trail-Way Speedway in early April got the team started.
By the time the season was over, Tim garnered 6 feature wins, 3 at Trail-Ways Speedway, 1 at Susquehanna Speedway Park, 1 at Path Valley Speedway, and 1 at the famed Lincoln Speedway! Tim won 3 season long points championships as part of TeamRAACE as well: The Central Pa Legends, Susquehanna Speedway Park Legends, and the Pa State Dirt Champion! “When a talented driver and a top team are successful on the track, they give us many opportunities to expose the hidden epidemic of child sexual abuse” said The RAACE Foundation Founder Kenneth Smith.
The more times you’re photographed in victory lane and spend time on the public address system from the winners circle, the more doors will open, for The RAACE Foundation, for survivors, for families interested in protecting their children and for Tim Henry and B&B Racing”, Smith added. Tim would like to thank his crew chief Wally, Greg & Don Burd and everyone at B&B Racing, as well as his wife Jen for the fantastic 2011 season.
He also wants everyone to know that he is dedicated to help spread the word of “Awareness” and The RAACE Foundations mission and vision. “We hope that carrying the colors on our team cars will help spread the awareness and help make all our children much safer in our Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere” Tim said.
Tim has enjoyed many successes in his 15 year racing career – 65 feature wins, 15 point titles and 1 Rookie of The Year, but none more important than his RAACE! “My son Tyler will be racing in 1/4 midgets at 5 in 2012 and I am very proud to have the RAACE Foundation on board of my 94T legend car and hope I can be a great asset to TeamRAACE! Thank you for allowing us to join Team RAACE and make the awareness stronger”, Henry continued.
Tim Henry and everyone at B&B racing know that until every child is safe from abuse, their RAACE has no finish line. Fans of TeamRAACE can meet and thank Tim Henry in The RAACE Foundations huge display, Friday Jan. 20th, Saturday Jan. 21st, and Sunday Jan. 22nd, at Motorsports 2012 Race Car and Trade Show in Oaks, PA.
