At RAACE, we believe that the key to prevention is knowledge. Parents should be well-informed about the steps they need to take to stop child sexual abuse. Establishing and maintaining open, age-appropriate communication with your child is the best way to protect them. On our website, we’ve provided you with all the information you need to get started. To learn more about how to talk openly with your child, consult a local health care professional or call 1-800-4-A-Child.

Once you become exposed to the epidemic of child sexual abuse, you’ll never think about it the same way again — at least we hope not. Dismissing it or thinking that “it could never happen to my family,” is a very dangerous mindset. That’s why we offer FREE educational resources that we want you to take full advantage of and share with your children and your circle of trust. These resources will become the #1 defensive tool to protect your loved ones from becoming a victim of abuse.

SuperHero Sponsored Publications

Area Auto Racing News “Inside Edition”

Longtime RAACE SuperHero, Len Sammons, has been an iconic fixture in motorsports for decades. Patriarch of the Sammons family that includes sons Danny and Davey, Len is publisher and editor of Area Auto Racing News (AARN), started by his father in 1963, and president of Len Sammons Motorsports Productions (now in its 34th year), where he first learned of RAACE.

Supporting RAACE is a natural fit for AARN and the motorsports show because of RAACE’s racing platform that appeals to kids and established relationships with numerous race teams. The
newspaper is including one insert a month about RAACE, providing the non-profit organization a bigger audience to share its mission. Additionally, RAACE’s Big Wheel game is a visible and
engaging display at the motorsports show, enabling RAACE to connect with families face to face in a fun and non-threatening way.

Since November 2016, AARN has sponsored RAACE’s “Inside Edition” which focuses on protecting the next generation of racers. The articles and information include information from the
Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere regarding the RAACE movement, and real life stories of families in the motorsports community and their children. The printing and distribution of “Inside Edition” is all generously donated by AARN, which is published 50 weeks out of the year and covers the news and results of well over 100 speedways from Ohio to New Jersey and New England to Virginia.

Aberdeen IronBirds “6-4-3 Double Play”

One of our newest SuperHeroes is Harford County fan favorite, The Aberdeen Ironbirds. The Class A short-season affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, and RAACE (Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to eliminating child sexual abuse, engaged in a multiyear partnership to provide a safe and family-fun experience both at the ballpark and in the local community. The two-year collaboration includes a RAACE-branded redesign and upgrades to the Ferrous & Friends Kids Zone at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium, as well as various fundraising opportunities each season.

As a member of the RAACE SuperHero program, the IronBirds will support the nonprofit organization with fundraising efforts and help generate awareness throughout Minor League and amateur baseball and help protect the next generation of players and fans. In partnership with AARN, “6-4-3 Double Play” is a publication that is distributed at the ballpark to help spread RAACE’s mission and share perspectives from the baseball community.
